Universities and enterprises combine theoretical and practical training within the administrative district. Students are working on practical projects and thus, the basis for promising developments is formed.

The University of Applied Sciences Ansbach

Besides the two fundamental courses of study "Business Administration" and "Industrial Engineering", the University of Applied Sciences offers two postgraduate courses of studies named "Communication Technology" and "Multimedia and Information Technology". Furthermore, there is another course of study available called "Energy- and Environmental Technology".

The University of Applied Sciences Triesdorf-Weihenstephan provides the following courses of study: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Production, Environmental Protection as well as the supplementary course of study International Agriculture Management.

The theological Augustana-University situated in Neuendettelsau is the only university in Germany where students can pursue theological gender studies and theological studies with respect to feminism. Recently, a professorship for philosophy was installed and thus, completes the offered range of courses of studies.
